The PGSA Arts Boosters are a team of engaged parents who volunteer, advocate, and fundraise in support of all arts programs at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts in High Point, NC. Parents, guardians, and family members of middle school and high school students are welcome!
We manage the ticket sales for all PGSA performances, with proceeds going directly to the art area performing.
We sell flowers and PGSA water bottles during performances, with proceeds going to the Boosters.
We feed students during long rehearsal days.
We are advocating and fundraising for much-needed upgrades to the historic Burford Auditorium.
We solicit donations to support the individual arts areas: Art, Band, Chorus, Dance, Guitar, Music Production, Orchestra, and Theatre.
We provide technical support for Penn-Griffin Playmakers productions, helping as needed with costumes, sets, props, sound, and lighting.

SNAP! RAISE FUNDRAISER
The Arts Boosters are partnering with Snap! Raise to embark on a four-week fundraising campaign. Our personalized website will be live on Thursday, March 26th and we're hoping to raise at least $7000!
What you need to know:
Each student or family will set up a unique account, with pictures, videos, and personalized asks, but Snap! Raise does the work of communicating with potential donors. There is a mobile app you can download for ease, but it's not required.
Students/families are asked to provide contact information (emails or phone numbers) for at least 20 people in their network: family members, neighbors, community connections, parents' colleagues, etc. Anyone, anywhere in the world who might be willing to donate in support of arts programs at PGSA.
Snap! Raise will reach out a maximum of 4 times, once per week of the fundraiser. If someone donates after the first ask, they won't receive any more communication!
Prizes (Penn Griffin branded spirit wear!) are awarded for students who hit established fundraising goals.
Our primary goal with this fundraiser is to tackle the sound system issues. Performance and concerts in Burford Auditorium have been plagued by unreliable microphones and speakers for years now and while some components have been replaced slowly over time, we really need a big push to address some of the larger items. Any remaining funds will be spread out among the arts program--we have a lengthy wish list from our arts teachers!
Below is information provided by Snap!Raise, but please reach out if you have questions! pgsaboosters@gmail.com

We have lots of concerts and performances happening this year and we need parent volunteers to help us sell tickets.
If you volunteer, you can stay to see the show for free! It's a great way to meet other parents from your student's arts area.
The Penn Griffin PTO is raising funds to purchase a memorial bench for Mr. Kelly. They have set up a Zelle account to accept donations.

Please fill out this form to tell us more about how you may be able to contribute to the Boosters--volunteer, donate, or connect!
Teacher Needs, from our Arts Team!
Our Photography Teacher Ms. Joyner is looking for digital cameras. Compact point-and-shoot, Rebels, D3000s, anything other than a cell phone camera. Old is fine but they need to work! If you have something to donate, just have your student take it to Ms. Joyner. Or if you like to shop thrift stores or garage sales, keep your eyes peeled for cameras!
Art Teacher Mr. O'Hara needs more easels. Like this adjustable one from Amazon. Or this set of 6 from a different vendor.
We've set up an Amazon wish list with items that he can always use with our art students. You don't have to purchase from Amazon if you prefer to shop elsewhere, it's just the simplest way for us to compile examples of art supplies Mr. O'Hara needs.
