The PGSA Arts Boosters are a team of engaged parents who volunteer, advocate, and fundraise in support of all arts programs at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts in High Point, NC. Parents, guardians, and family members of middle school and high school students are welcome!
We manage the ticket sales for all PGSA performances, with proceeds going directly to the art area performing.
We sell flowers and PGSA water bottles during performances, with proceeds going to the Boosters.
We feed students during long rehearsal days.
We are advocating and fundraising for much-needed upgrades to the historic Burford Auditorium.
We solicit donations to support the individual arts areas: Art, Band, Chorus, Dance, Guitar, Music Production, Orchestra, and Theatre.
We provide technical support for Penn-Griffin Playmakers productions, helping as needed with costumes, sets, props, sound, and lighting.
Announcements
Teacher Needs, from our Arts Team!
Our Photography Teacher Ms. Joyner is looking for digital cameras. Compact point-and-shoot, Rebels, D3000s, anything other than a cell phone camera. Old is fine but they need to work! If you have something to donate, just have your student take it to Ms. Joyner. Or if you like to shop thrift stores or garage sales, keep your eyes peeled!
Art Teacher Mr. O'Hara needs more easels. Like this adjustable one from Amazon. Or this set of 6 from a different vendor.
$500 in donations would supply art students with Mr. O'Hara's preferred clay from Star, NC for the next year and a half. DONATE TODAY!
We've set up an Amazon wish list with items that he can always use with our art students. You don't have to purchase from Amazon if you prefer to shop elsewhere, it's just the simplest way for us to compile examples of art supplies Mr. O'Hara needs.
